The Darfur Victims Support Organization condemns the shelling of Jangara village, التابعة to the Azerni Administrative Unit, Kreinik Locality, West Darfur State (El Geneina), by an army drone on 25 December 2025. According to an eyewitness, an army drone bombed the village market, resulting in the death of 14 people, most of them women and elderly persons, and the burning of more than 90 shops. The estimated losses exceed 500 billion Sudanese pounds.
The Organization holds the army fully responsible for these crimes and appeals to the UN Security Council to protect civilians. The Organization will issue a detailed report on the incident.
