In the face of the tragic humanitarian conditions experienced by displaced persons in the camps of East Darfur, their suffering continues to worsen due to severe food shortages and the lack of adequate assistance to meet their basic needs. Sabreen Camp, which shelters hundreds of families who have fled the horrors of war, is enduring a catastrophic situation, reflecting the plight of thousands of lives struggling daily for survival.

Humanitarian Response: A Beacon of Hope Amid Suffering

In a demonstration of solidarity and commitment to alleviating the suffering of displaced persons, the Darfur Victims Support Organization, in cooperation with the Save Al-Geneina Initiative and Hope and Haven for Refugees, distributed comprehensive food baskets to 120 families in Sabreen Camp, East Darfur State, on November 28, 2024. The total number of beneficiaries reached 436 individuals, all belonging to the most vulnerable groups facing extreme food insecurity.

The distributed food baskets included essential items such as flour, rice, sugar, oil, and soap.
