Incident Overview
On December 26, 2024, at 11:00 PM, an aerial strike conducted by Sudanese military warplanes targeted Al-Wadi West neighborhood in Nyala City, South Darfur. The attack struck the home of al-Sheikh Mustafa Hassan and the residence of his retired officer son, Adam Mustafa Hassan, causing multiple fatalities and injuries among family members, including women and children.
Casualties and Injuries
The aerial bombing resulted in the deaths of five civilians:
1. al-Sheikh Mustafa Hassan.
2. al-Sheikh Mohammed Ahmed Hassan.
3. Mustafa Yaqub Mustafa Hassan.
4. Mrs. Susan Al-Rabee (wife of Mustafa Yaqub) and their daughter.
5. Aden Al-Fatih Mohammed Ahmed Hassan (10 years old).
The following individuals sustained injuries:
