Report on the progress of the charitable kitchen for displaced persons fleeing El Fasher and its camps, Kurma Administrative Unit, North Darfur State, El Fasher.

Volunteers from both organizations continued their collective kitchen work for the fifth consecutive day.

The kitchen targeted displaced persons fleeing El Fasher and its camps, including Abu Shouk, Abuja, Zamzam, and Sila camps for displaced persons, specifically women, children, the elderly, and people with special needs. On May 22, 2025, approximately 160 meals were provided. The influx of displaced persons from El Fasher continues, with around 160 families, estimated at about 3,000 people, arriving on Thursday in difficult humanitarian conditions. There is an urgent need for food, healthcare, and drinking water. Both organizations are issuing an urgent humanitarian appeal to all local, regional, and international organizations for immediate intervention.
