We issue an urgent humanitarian appeal to all local, regional, and international organizations regarding the collapse of the health system and the spread of cholera in the administrative unit of Al-Mazroub, affiliated with the locality of West Bara in North Kordofan State, approximately 83 kilometers west of El-Obeid.
A doctor and an eyewitness informed the Darfur Victims Advocacy Organization that cases of cholera and severe watery diarrhea have appeared in Al-Mazroub since June 18, 2025, with a total of 401 confirmed cases reported to date.
As of Friday, June 27, 2025, the death toll has reached 10, including Iyat Adam, Warabha Ahmed Abu Al-Amin, and Professor Ahad Hamid.
Al-Mazroub Hospital and the Qatari clinic are suffering from a severe shortage of essential medicines and medical supplies. Local community efforts are currently underway to collect donations for purchasing treatment for patients.
The organization calls on all local, regional, and international organizations for immediate intervention to save lives and contain this humanitarian and health crisis.
