The Darfur Victims Advocacy Organization and the Hope and Refuge Organization have issued an urgent humanitarian appeal to all local, regional, and international organizations to intervene immediately regarding the cholera outbreak in the Darfur region.
As of September 11, 2025, the number of reported cases has reached 10,848, with 429 deaths. Cholera is spreading rapidly, especially in East, North, and South Darfur, amid a growing number of displaced people fleeing from El Fasher to Korma, Tawila, and Jebel Marra.
