As part of the emergency response to combat the cholera outbreak, the two organizations carried out the distribution of medical aid and an environmental sanitation campaign on September 13, 2025, at the health center in Al-Koma locality – North Darfur State (El Fasher), in collaboration with the Al-Koma Local Emergency Room.
Health Situation in Al-Koma:
- Cholera outbreak has been spreading since August 2025.
- Around 10 cases have been recorded, including 3 deaths.
- The city relies on a single health center to serve approximately 60,000 people, including large numbers of displaced individuals fleeing from El Fasher.
- The center suffers from a severe shortage of emergency medications and medical personnel.
Impact of the Intervention:
The health center committee received the aid and expressed gratitude for the efforts of both organizations, especially under the challenging conditions of war, the rainy season, and road blockages.
Urgent Appeal:
The health center committee called on all local, regional, and international organizations to urgently intervene and provide medical assistance to Al-Koma, which is facing a health and humanitarian disaster threatening the lives of thousands.

منظمة الأمل والملاذ ومنظمة مناصرة ضحايا دارفور
في إطار الاستجابة الطارئة لمجابهة وباء الكوليرا، قامت المنظمتان يوم 13 سبتمبر 2025م بتنفيذ توزيع مساعدات طبية وحملة إصحاح بيئي في مركز صحي محلية الكومة – ولاية شمال دارفور (الفاشر)، بالتعاون مع غرفة طوارئ محلية الكومة.
الوضع الصحي في الكومة:
• انتشار وباء الكوليرا منذ أغسطس 2025م.
• تسجيل نحو 10 حالات إصابة بينها 3 وفيات.
• المدينة تعتمد على مركز صحي وحيد لتقديم الخدمات الطبية لحوالي 60,000 نسمة، بينهم أعداد كبيرة من النازحين الفارين من الفاشر.
• يعاني المركز من نقص حاد في أدوية الطوارئ والكوادر الطبية.
أثر التدخل:
تسلمت لجنة المركز الصحي المساعدات، وأعربت عن شكرها لمجهودات المنظمتين في ظل ظروف الحرب، فصل الخريف، وانقطاع الطرق.
نداء عاجل:
ناشدت لجنة المركز جميع المنظمات المحلية والإقليمية والدولية بضرورة التدخل السريع لتقديم المساعدات الطبية العاجلة لمدينة الكومة، التي تواجه كارثة صحية وإنسانية تهدد حياة الآلاف.
