The Darfur Victims Advocacy Organization and the Hope and Refuge Organization express deep concern over the alarming spread of malaria in Tawila locality, North Darfur State, Al-Fashir. A medical source in Tawila reported to both organizations that daily infection cases ranged between 16 to 25 during September 2025, with the majority being children, women, and the elderly. The organizations are issuing an urgent humanitarian appeal regarding the dire health and humanitarian situation in Tawila, which is considered the largest gathering of displaced persons fleeing from Al-Fashir, estimated at one and a half million people.

تعرب منظمة مناصرة ضحايا دارفور ومنظمة الامل والملاذ عن قلقهما البالغ عن انتشار الملاريا بصورة مخيفة في محلية طويلة بولاية شمال دارفور الفاشر حيث افاد مصدر طبي للمنظمتين من طويلة تتراوح حالات الإصابة يوميا بين ١٦ إلي ٢٥ حالة في سبتمبر ٢٠٢٥م غالبيتهم من الأطفال والنساء وكبار السن، تطلق المنظمتين نداء إنساني عاجل بشأن الوضع الإنساني والصحي في محلية طويلة تعتبر أكبر تجمع للنازحين الفارين من الفاشر يقدر عددهم مليون ونصف نسمة .
