As part of ongoing humanitarian efforts to support displaced persons, on March 18, 2026, and with the generous support of Bulento e.V. Sudan Nothilfe, the Hope and Haven Refugees Organization, in cooperation with the Darfur Victims Support Organization (DVSO), implemented a Ramadan food basket distribution project for internally displaced persons (IDPs) fleeing the city of El Fashir and its camps (Abu Shouk, Abuja, and Zamzam), currently residing in Golo Camp in Central Jebel Marra.
The project targeted 300 displaced families, most of whom are women, the elderly, and orphans living in extremely difficult humanitarian conditions due to displacement and the loss of food sources, income, and livelihoods. The total number of beneficiaries reached approximately 1,400 individuals.
The displaced residents expressed their deep gratitude and appreciation to the organizations for this humanitarian support, which contributed to alleviating part of their suffering during the holy month of Ramadan.
In light of increasing humanitarian needs and the continuous influx of displaced persons, the two organizations renew their urgent humanitarian appeal to all local, regional, and international organizations to intervene immediately and provide further food and humanitarian support to the affected families.
