Darfur Victims Support Organization expresses deep concern over the worsening humanitarian crisis affecting those displaced from El Fasher and its camps.
North Darfur State is experiencing increasing waves of displacement as the war continues to escalate. Civilians are fleeing the horrors of combat, bombardment, and deteriorating humanitarian conditions.
In this context, Kasab Camp has received over 2,000 displaced families in recent weeks. Among them, 368 critical cases have been recorded, including wounded individuals and children suffering from severe malnutrition. A severe shortage of food, water, medicine, and shelter threatens thousands of lives.
Many displaced individuals have also arrived in the Korma area and Selk Camp, where those fleeing the conflict endure harsh conditions and declining living standards due to the lack of basic necessities.
On May 5, 2025, Fatabarno Camp welcomed 47 displaced families arriving from conflict zones, while Kebkabiya locality also reported a new influx of displaced persons from areas affected by fighting.
Despite the challenging circumstances, emergency response units within the camps are working tirelessly with limited resources to provide essential aid. This dire situation calls for urgent intervention from humanitarian organizations.
📣 We urgently appeal to all concerned parties, both local and international, to act swiftly in providing immediate humanitarian assistance to save lives and prevent the crisis from escalating further.
