Distribution of Humanitarian Aid to 150 Displaced Families in “Diba Nayra” Camp, North Darfur

Tawila Locality, North Darfur State July 15, 2025
Amid the worsening humanitarian crisis since the outbreak of war, the Hope & Safe Haven Organization, in cooperation with the Darfur Victims Advocacy Organization, carried out a food aid distribution operation on Tuesday morning, targeting 150 displaced families in the newly established “Diba Nayra” camp located in Tawila Locality, North Darfur State.

🛒 This distribution is part of the “Food Basket” project, which focuses on supporting displaced individuals fleeing conflict zones—particularly those from Zamzam camp, Abu Shouk camp, and the city of El Fasher.

👥 Project coordinators explained that the initiative is part of a broader series of humanitarian interventions by both organizations, noting that the needs in the camp are extremely high and include food, medicine, and environmental sanitation programs as the rainy season begins.

🏕️ It is worth noting that Diba Nayra camp hosts over 900,000 displaced people, most of whom live in severely difficult conditions, prompting the need for continued support and urgent interventions.

📦 The organizations confirmed that the project will be implemented in two phases: the first phase commenced today, while the second is expected to start in the next two days, with a special focus on women, children, the elderly, and groups suffering from malnutrition.
