المعسكر حوالي ٥ قري هي(دبنقا، تلمبتو،حجاج ومعسكر مسل )يأوي حوالي ١٣ الف نسمة يعتمدون علي مركز صحي المسل الذي يفتقر ادني مقومات الصحة حيث يعمل الكوادر الطبية والمتطوعون بمجهودات ذاتية فقط الاشتراكات الفردية من المجتمع المجتمع ،حيث ضربت الكوليرا معسكر مسل ٢٣ يونيو ٢٠٢٥م تم تسجيل حوالي ٨٠ إصابة حتي أغسطس ٢٠٢٥م منها ١٢ حالة وفاة غالبيتهم من النساء وكبار السن.
حيث استقبل المدير الطبي للمركز دكتور ابراهيم احمد خميس المساعدات الطبية المقدمة من منظمة الأمل والملاذ ومنظمة مناصرة ضحايا دارفور حيث شكر هذه المجهودات وانهم يعملون في ظروف صعبة حيث ناشد المنظمات المحلية والإقليمية والدولية للتدخل العاجل لتقديم المساعدات الطبية لهذا المعسكر لأن هناك حوجة عاجلة.

The camp includes approximately five villages: (Dabanga, Talambatu, Hajaj, and Mesel Camp), and shelters around 13,000 people who rely on the Mesel Health Center. The center lacks even the most basic health infrastructure, and the medical staff and volunteers operate solely through self-initiated efforts and individual community contributions.
Cholera struck Mesel Camp on June 23, 2025, with around 80 cases recorded by August 2025, including 12 deaths—most of them women and the elderly.
Dr. Ibrahim Ahmed Khamis, the medical director of the center, received the medical aid provided by the Hope & Refuge Organization and the Darfur Victims Advocacy Organization. He expressed gratitude for these efforts, noting that they are working under extremely difficult conditions. He appealed to local, regional, and international organizations for urgent intervention to provide medical assistance to the camp, emphasizing the critical and immediate need.
