The Darfur Victims Support Organization condemns the drone strike carried out by the army targeting a civilian gathering in Nyala, South Darfur State, on the morning of September 1, 2025.
A witness from Nyala reported to the organization that around 11:00 AM, an army-operated drone carrying two missiles targeted a civilian gathering in Al-Husseini Square, resulting in the death of one civilian and injuring four others, including a child. Due to communication difficulties, the organization was unable to obtain the names of the victims.
The organization holds the army responsible for targeting civilians. Furthermore, an army-operated drone also targeted Yashfin Hospital on the morning of August 30, 2025. Yashfin Hospital was full of patients, particularly women, children, and the elderly. Available information indicates casualties and injuries.
The organization’s statement asserts that the army’s targeting of civilian areas—especially hospitals—amounts to a war crime. It calls on the United Nations Security Council to protect civilians.
تدين منظمة مناصرة ضحايا دارفور قصف طائرة مسيرة تابعة للجيش تجمع للمدنيين في ولاية جنوب دارفور نيالا صباح اليوم ١ سبتمبر ٢٠٢٥م حيث أفاد شاهد عيان للمنظمة من مدين نيالا حوالي الساعة الحادية عشرة صباحا ان المسيرة تابعة للجيش تحمل ٢ صارخ استهدفت تجمع للمدنيين في ساحة الحسيني أدت الي مقتل مدني واحد وجرح ٤ آخرين بينهم طفل ، لم تتحصل المنظمة علي اسماء الضحايا نسبة لصعوبة الاتصالات ،تحمل المنظمة استهداف الجيش للمدنيين، كذلك استهدفت طايرة مسير تتبع للجيش مستشفى يشفين في صباح ٣٠ أغسطس ٢٠٢٥م، مستشفى يشفين ملي بالمرضي خاصة النساء والأطفال وكبار السن ،تفيد المعلومات بسقوط قتلي وجرحي، ما يقوم به الجيش من استهداف للمناطق المدينة خاصة المستشفيات ترتقي الي جريمة حرب، تطالب المنظمة مجلس الامن بحماية المدنيين.
