The Darfur Victims Support Organization welcomes the joint statement issued on September 12, 2025, by the Quartet—United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the United States of America—regarding the call for the warring parties to declare a humanitarian truce in Sudan. This is a necessary step to end the senseless war, deliver humanitarian aid to civilians, and preserve Sudan’s unity and territorial integrity. There is no military solution to the conflict in Sudan—only through sitting at the negotiating table.
