The Darfur Victims Advocacy Organization welcomes the decision of the United Nations Security Council, convened on September 12, 2025, which unanimously renewed the mandate of the Panel of Experts on Sudan, tasked with monitoring the situation in Darfur, until the end of January 2026.
This is a critical and necessary step toward ending the war in Sudan, pressuring the conflicting parties to engage in dialogue, and facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid to civilians.
