On Sunday, September 14, 2025, the Hope and Haven for Refugee Organization and the Darfur Victims Support Organization provided medical aid to combat the cholera outbreak at the Al-Manar Health Center for displaced persons in Ed Daein – East Darfur.
The emergency medical assistance included:
- Intravenous solutions
- Flagyl
- Ringer’s solution
- Oral rehydration fluids
- Cipro
- Gloves
- Face masks
- Painkillers
- Disinfectants
The medical supplies were delivered to Al-Manar Health Center in the presence of medical staff. This emergency intervention was highly praised by the displaced persons and health center workers due to the severe shortage of medical drugs and emergency medications needed to fight cholera.
Both organizations renew their appeal to local, regional, and international organizations for urgent intervention to provide more medical assistance.
الاستجابة الطارئة لوباء الكوليرا في شرق دارفور: تقديم المساعدات إلى مركز المنار الصحي
قدمت منظمة الأمل والملاذ ومنظمة مناصرة ضحايا دارفور مساعدات طبية لمجابهة وباء الكوليرا في مركز صحي المنار للنازحين بمدينة الضعين – شرق دارفور، وذلك يوم الأحد الموافق ١٤ سبتمبر ٢٠٢٥م.
شملت المساعدات الطبية تدخلًا طارئًا ضم: محاليل وريدية، فلاجيل، رينجر، مياه تروية، سيبرو، قفازات، كمامات، مسكنات ألم، ومعقمات.
تم تسليم المعدات الطبية لمركز المنار الصحي بحضور الكوادر الطبية، وقد وجد هذا التدخل الطارئ إشادة كبيرة من النازحين والعاملين في المركز الصحي نظرًا للنقص الحاد في العقاقير الطبية والأدوية الطارئة لمكافحة الكوليرا.
تجدد المنظمتان مناشدتهما للمنظمات المحلية والإقليمية والدولية بضرورة التدخل العاجل لتقديم المزيد من المساعدات الطبية.
