The Darfur Victims Support Organization condemns the drone strike carried out by the army on Saturday, October 11, 2025, targeting the locality of Kuma in El Fasher, North Darfur State.
An eyewitness from Kuma reported to the organization that at approximately 10:20 AM Sudan time, a drone belonging to the armed forces (the army) bombed a mediation council gathering at the home of Sheikh Ahmed Rabah Dshish, a prominent community leader in the town of Kuma. The strike targeted civilians at the council, resulting in the death of 16 civilians, including 8 children, and injuring 7 others.
The organization holds the army fully responsible for the civilian casualties and calls on the United Nations Security Council to take urgent action to protect civilians. The organization will issue a detailed report on the incident.
