The Voluntary Amnesty Organization for Peace and Development carried out a vital humanitarian initiative in the Tawila locality of North Darfur State on November 17, 2025. The initiative targeted 100 displaced girls living in extremely difficult humanitarian conditions. The activity involved distributing “Dignity Kits,” which are essential packages containing personal and feminine hygiene items. The primary goal was to support the girls in maintaining their health, dignity, and privacy in displacement settings that lack basic services and resources.
This support was made possible through the effective collaboration and generous contributions of the Hope and Refuge Organization and the Darfur Victims Support Organization, highlighting the importance of local partnerships in addressing the urgent needs of the most vulnerable groups.
The joint distribution aimed to alleviate the health and psychological burdens on displaced girls by providing necessary tools to prevent hygiene-related diseases and to enhance their sense of dignity and care amid challenging circumstances. Providing such essential non-food items is a crucial step in humanitarian response, contributing to a minimum standard of decent living for the targeted group.
