Darfur Victims Support Organization (DVSO) & Hope and Haven Refugees Organization.
The Darfur Victims Support Organization (DVSO) and the Hope and Haven Refugees Organization successfully implemented a project to distribute shelter materials to 30 displaced families. These families fled from the city of El Fasher and its three major camps to the Korma Administrative Unit in North Darfur State.
The beneficiary families are currently residing in the Kela School Shelter Center. The distribution included essential supplies such as blankets, floor mats, and water jerrycans.
The project was carried out in the presence of the Head of the Relief and Emergency Department at the Humanitarian Affairs Coordination Office in Korma. He expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to DVSO and Hope and Haven, commending their significant humanitarian roles across various regions of Sudan. He also renewed an urgent appeal to all humanitarian organizations for immediate intervention to provide necessary aid for those affected by the war in Korma.
Representing the beneficiaries, Ms. Sayyida Bashir Adam spoke about the distribution’s impact, expressing the families’ immense relief upon receiving shelter materials for the first time since their displacement a year and a half ago from the Abu Shouk Camp to Korma.
On behalf of the displaced community, Ms. Sayyida appealed to international organizations, UN agencies, national NGOs, and philanthropists to provide urgent necessities—including humanitarian aid, food baskets, and additional shelter materials—to the IDPs in Korma.
