Darfur Victims Support Organization and Hope & Haven, Provide Vital Healthcare to Darfur’s Displaced

The Hope and Haven Refugees Organization and the Darfur Victims Support Organization (DVSO) successfully conducted a mobile medical clinic in the Saraf Omra locality, North Darfur State, on Friday, January 30, 2026.

The campaign targeted Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) who fled the war that erupted on April 15, 2023, from various cities and states across Sudan, including Zalingei, El Geneina, Nyala, El Fasher, and its surrounding camps. The clinic was hosted at two primary shelter centers:
• Musab bin Umair Primary School (Boys)
• Al-Zahraa Primary School (Girls)

The mobile clinic provided integrated healthcare services, featuring:
• A general practitioner (GP) clinic.
• A fully equipped laboratory for medical testing.
• A pharmacy for essential medication distribution.
• A dedicated nursing department.

During the mission, 121 patients received medical examinations, necessary laboratory tests, and prescribed medications free of charge.

Medical interviews and laboratory results revealed a significant prevalence of respiratory and chest infections, as well as diarrheal diseases and malnutrition, particularly among children and the elderly.

The displaced families expressed their collective gratitude and appreciation to DVSO and Hope and Haven for their vital humanitarian role in supporting war-affected families throughout Sudan.

Simultaneously, the displaced community issued an urgent appeal to local, regional, and international organizations, as well as UN agencies, emphasizing the desperate need for immediate intervention to provide sustainable health and humanitarian services.
