Location: North Darfur State – Saraf Omra Locality
The Darfur Victims Support Organization (DVSO) and the Hope and Haven Refugees Organization successfully concluded the second day of the mobile medical clinic for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). The clinic targeted those who fled the April 15 war from various cities and states, including Zalingei, El Geneina, Nyala, El Fasher, and their surrounding camps. Today’s services were provided at the Hay Al-Riyadh Health Shelter Center.
The clinic offered a comprehensive range of healthcare services, including:
• An integrated medical clinic.
• A fully stocked pharmacy.
• Consultations with a General Practitioner (GP).
• A complete laboratory for all necessary diagnostic tests.
• A specialized nursing department.
During the second day, 115 patients underwent medical examinations and laboratory tests and received the necessary medications.
Medical assessments and laboratory results indicated a significant spread of respiratory and chest infections, cases of diarrhea, and malnutrition, particularly among children and the elderly.
The displaced families expressed their collective gratitude to DVSO and Hope and Haven for their continuous efforts and significant role in assisting war-affected families across various regions of Sudan.
Through our organizations, the IDPs have issued an urgent appeal to all international organizations, UN agencies, and national NGOs for immediate intervention. There is a desperate need for humanitarian support as health and living conditions continue to deteriorate.
