On Sunday, October 19, 2025, the Darfur Victims Support Organization and the Hope and Refuge Shelter Organization, in collaboration with the African Customs and Traditions Organization, carried out a food basket distribution campaign to support refugee-affected families in Rubaga Division, Kampala, the capital of Uganda. The initiative included 75 food baskets containing essential items such as flour, oil, and lentils, targeting Ugandan host women and Sudanese refugee women.
Mr. Adam Musa “Obama,” Executive Director of the Darfur Victims Advocacy Organization, stated that the initiative aims to promote coexistence and humanitarian solidarity between the Sudanese and Ugandan communities, as part of ongoing efforts to support vulnerable families in neighboring countries.
This step comes amid the continued influx of Sudanese refugees into Uganda due to the escalating humanitarian crisis caused by the ongoing war since mid-April 2023. The Hope and Refuge Shelter Organization and the Darfur Victims Advocacy Organization will continue providing food and medical assistance to Ugandans and all refugees in Uganda.

نفّذت منظمة مناصرة ضحايا دارفور ومنظمة الأمل والملاذ للاجئين بالتعاون مع منظمة العادات والتقاليد الإفريقية، اليوم الأحد ١٩ أكتوبر٢٠٢٥م، حملة توزيع سلال غذائية لدعم الأسر المتضررة من اللجوء في مقاطعة روباقا بالعاصمة اليوغندية كمبالا، شملت 75 سلة غذائية تحتوي على مواد أساسية مثل الدقيق والزيت والعدس، استهدفت النساء اليوغنديات المستضيفات واللاجئات السودانيات.
وأوضح المدير التنفيذي لمنظمة مناصرة ضحايا دارفور، الأستاذ آدم موسى “أوباما”، أن المبادرة تأتي في إطار تعزيز التعايش والتضامن الإنساني بين المجتمعين السوداني واليوغندي، ضمن سلسلة من الجهود الرامية إلى دعم الأسر المحتاجة في دول الجوار.
وتأتي هذه الخطوة في ظل استمرار تدفق اللاجئين السودانيين إلى أوغندا مع تصاعد الأزمة الإنسانية الناتجة عن الحرب المستمرة منذ منتصف أبريل 2023م، سوف تستمر منظمة الأمل والملاذ للاجئين ومنظمة مناصرة ضحايا دارفور في تقديم المساعدات الغذائية والطبية لليوغندين وجميع اللاجئين في أوغندا.
