Darfur Victims Support Organization condemns the killing of 9 civilians following a landmine explosion on the road connecting Al-Sanadira and the city of Al-Abbasiya in South Kordofan State, Kadugli.
Eyewitnesses informed the organization that on February 12, 2026, at approximately 11:00 AM, a “Tuk-tuk” vehicle moving toward the Al-Sanadra market was hit by a landmine that exploded on the road. This led to the death of 9 civilians and the injury of 7 others, the majority of whom were women, children, and the elderly. The injured were transported to the Al-Abbasiya Teaching Hospital to receive treatment.
The organization demands an investigation, accountability for the perpetrators, and justice for the victims. The organization will conduct an investigation and issue a report on the incident.
