The Darfur Victims Support Organization (DVSO) and the Hope and Haven For Refugees Organization have successfully distributed 55 food baskets to internally displaced persons (IDPs) fleeing the city of El Fashir and its camps (Abu Shouk and Abuja), who are currently residing in the Masal IDP Camp in North Darfur State.
The aid targeted approximately 55 families, totaling about 250 individuals, the majority of whom are women and children.
The distribution process took place on March 9, 2026, with the participation of the Masal Camp official and youth representatives from the camp. The beneficiaries expressed their thanks and appreciation to the two organizations for this humanitarian assistance.
The camp continues to receive approximately 70 new families who are living in difficult humanitarian conditions and facing a shortage of food and shelter.
The two organizations launch an urgent humanitarian appeal to all local, regional, and international organizations to intervene and provide urgent support to the displaced persons in the camp.
