His sister, Tawassul, died due to the same drone strike at a shelter for displaced people in North Darfur State in mid-September 2025. Due to difficulty in movement and the lack of an ambulance, his mother took him on a cart for treatment. This is the suffering of civilians in El Fasher, North Darfur State. The organization appeals to the Rapid Support Forces, the army, and armed movements to stop the fighting and declare a humanitarian truce.
