Hope & Haven for Refugee, Darfur Victims Support Organization Distribute Food Aid to Displaced Families from El Fasher

The Hope and Haven Refugees Organization, in collaboration with the Darfur Victims Support Organization (DVSO), has successfully implemented a food basket distribution project for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) fleeing the city of El Fasher and its surrounding camps (Abu Shouk, Abuja, and Zamzam).
The project targeted 100 displaced families currently residing in the Dabba Naira (Ammo) Camp. Each food basket contained essential supplies, specifically millet and lentils, provided as an emergency response to the recent waves of displacement from El Fasher and nearby areas.
This intervention comes at a critical time, addressing a significant food gap within the newly planned camp on the outskirts of the settlement. The residents are suffering from acute shortages of clean water, food, healthcare services, and adequate shelter materials.
The Hope and Haven Refugees Organization and the DVSO renew their urgent appeal to local, regional, and international humanitarian organizations. Immediate intervention is required to provide basic necessities and support to displaced families—particularly women, children, and the elderly—to prevent further deterioration of the humanitarian situation.
