West Golo mountain – Zalingei, Central Darfur State
February 27, 2026 | 10th Day of Ramadan
On the tenth day of the holy month of Ramadan, the Hope and Haven For Refugees Organization, in cooperation with the Darfur Victims Support Organization (DVSO) and the Sawa’ed Al-Rahma Initiative, implemented a Ramadan food basket distribution for displaced persons fleeing the city of El Fasher and its camps (Abu Shouk, Abuja, and Zamzam), currently residing in the West Jebel Golo locality, Central Darfur State – Zalingei.
Intervention Details:
•Number of Beneficiary Families: 100 families
•Total Number of Individuals: Approximately 980 people
•Target Groups: Women, children, the elderly, and persons with disabilities.
The residents of the center are living in extremely difficult humanitarian conditions, characterized by:
•Acute food shortages
•Scarcity of drinking water
•Absence of basic shelter materials
Despite limited resources, these Ramadan baskets arrived to alleviate some of the families’ suffering and provide them with a sense of solidarity during the month of mercy.
The Hope and Haven Refugees Organization and the Darfur Victims Support Organization (DVSO) issue an urgent appeal to all local, regional, and international organizations for immediate intervention to provide food, medical aid, and shelter materials to these displaced persons before the humanitarian crisis worsens further.
Together for human dignity.
Together so that no child goes to bed hungry in Ramadan.
