Urgent Humanitarian Appeal for 60 Newly Displaced Families in Al-Masal Camp, North Darfur

Darfu Victims Support Organization (DVSO) & Hope and Haven Refugees. Organization.

On January 16, 2026, a new group of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) arrived form Tarni Administrative Unit to Al-Masal Camp, North Darfur State. These families fled from the Dar Semyat area due to the escalation of conflict and the total breakdown of security.

This new group comprises 60 families, totaling approximately 540 individuals, with the majority being women, children, and the elderly. They are currently living under extreme humanitarian conditions, lacking the most basic necessities for survival.

Urgent Requirements
These families are in immediate and desperate need of:
• Clean drinking water
• Food and nutritional assistance
• Essential medicines and primary healthcare
• Shelter materials (tarpaulins and tents)

Driven by our humanitarian responsibility, the Darfur Victims Support Organization (DVSO) and the Hope and Haven Refugees Organization launch this urgent appeal to all local, regional, and international organizations, as well as individual donors within Sudan and abroad.

We call for immediate intervention to provide life-saving assistance and rescue these families from an escalating humanitarian catastrophe.
