As part of emergency response efforts, the Hope and Haven Refugees Organization and the Darfur Victims Support Organization (DVSO) launched a health center support project by distributing medical aid to combat the measles and diphtheria outbreaks in the Korma Administrative Unit, North Darfur State, on April 12, 2026.
These medical supplies were provided to support Korma Civil Hospital in light of the increasing spread of measles and diphtheria epidemics recently, particularly in this region, which faces extremely complex health and humanitarian conditions.
The project aims to strengthen the hospital’s capabilities and raise the quality of healthcare services provided, contributing to improved emergency response efficiency and meeting the needs of citizens during the measles and diphtheria crisis.
The support included the provision of various medicines and medical supplies, such as:
1. Omeprazole
2. Ceftriaxone
3. Various pain relievers
4. Various types of intravenous (IV) fluids
5. Gloves
6. Gauze and bandages
7. Antiseptics
8. Pediatric syrups
9. Masks
10. Other various types of medicines and medical supplies
The Medical Director of the hospital expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Hope and Haven Refugees Organization and the Darfur Victims Support Organization (DVSO) for this important support. He also appealed through the two organizations to all humanitarian entities and active organizations for urgent intervention to support Korma Hospital with life saving medical supplies.
