The organization condemns the drone strike carried out by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) targeting the Al-Matar neighborhood in El Obeid, the capital of North Kordofan State.
Eyewitnesses reported to the DVS on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at around 2:00 AM Sudan time, an RSF drone targeted the Al-Matar neighborhood in El Obeid, the capital of North Kordofan State, with a number of strikes, resulting in casualties and injuries.
The First Strike (around 2:00 AM): It targeted the houses of Dr. Siddiq Safi Al-Din and Engineer Jihad Babiker, in addition to several neighboring houses in the Al-Matar neighborhood, leading to their complete destruction.
The Second Strike: Following the first attack, a number of citizens gathered to inspect the damaged houses, assess the situation, and evacuate the injured. A second drone directly targeted the gathering, leading to the killing of 8 civilians, are:
